Collective bargaining is the process by which representatives of labor and management negotiate wages, benefits, and conditions of employment for workers. Public sector bargaining is different from that found in the private sector because of the political process which impacts the collective bargaining process, e.g. voters, elected officials, and non-police governmental offices and officials.
