Explain how a healing environment contributes to the prevention of stress

A healing environment is one in which individuals are supported and nurtured, in which they feel calm, and in which health and well-being are promoted. By recognizing that we experience our environment through all five senses - sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch - we can learn to recognize how color, light, smell, noise and temperature can be manipulated to create a less stressful environment.
