What takes place during the jury decision-making process? What changes should be made?
What will be an ideal response?
Juries do not have to have 12 members, nor does every jury have to come back with a unanimous decision. Decisions are supposed to based only on the facts of the case, but unfortunately that is not always the case. Sometimes factors like race, sex, employment background, and marital status impact juror decisions. Deliberation is done in secret, and this limits what we know about juries. Opinions regarding changes to be made to juries will vary.
