How has technology changed students' work and school lives?
What will be an ideal response?
Technology has extended most people's workdays. It has fostered an environment in which people are constantly "on." They can now receive correspondence (via texts and email) at any time, watch news at any hour of the day, and work on research papers around the clock. What's more, whereas students once received course work only while physically in the classroom, they must now check their email regularly for assignments, course updates, messages from professors, and so on. This almost nonstop barrage of media, while engaging in some respects, is distracting in others. It can give people a false sense of being productive, while in fact contributing to their procrastination.
