What is geopolitics and what role do the nations belonging to this group play in it?

What will be an ideal response

Geopolitics is the realigning of the world's powers since World War II. It includes a Japan-centered Asia, a Germany-centered Europe, and a western hemisphere with the United States as its center. Originally this elite group of policy makers was composed of seven nations and known as the Group of 7. In addition to the U.S., Japan, and Germany, the nations of Canada, France, Great Britain, and Italy were members. Russia was later added to make it the G8 and it is expected China will be invited to join, making it the G9. The goal of the G8 is to perpetuate their industrial dominance of the globe and to ensure that world conflict does not erupt, which would threaten their dominance.
