Provide an example of state-dependent learning.
What will be an ideal response?
Generally, with state-dependent learning, an experience encountered during one internal state will not be recalled when the internal state changes. For example, a person learns a list of words while under the influence of alcohol. When they are asked to recall the words while not intoxicated, they will perform worse. Note: state-dependent learning has occurred under a variety of contexts including following aerobic exercise. So, it is not just drug-related.
