What will be an ideal response?

The instrumental value of a species is based on its usefulness. For example, the instrumental value of honeybees could be the pollination of plants, especially our food crops. The intrinsic value of a species is based simply on the species' right to exist for its own sake, and fulfill it ecological niche without regard to how or why that niche might be beneficial to humans. Intrinsic value is based on the ethic responsibility of humans. For example, tigers are protected for their intrinsic value for their beauty and appeal.
