Define "durable power of attorney" and explain the one important exception that makes it different from a standard "power of attorney".

What will be an ideal response?

Power of attorney is the voluntary transfer of decision-making authority from one competent individual to another competent individual. The individual who has granted the power of attorney can revoke the power of attorney at any time. The power of attorney automatically ends when the person granting the power of attorney dies or is declared incompetent. A durable power of attorney is identical to a standard power of attorney except that it remains in effect even after the individual granting the power of attorney dies or is unable to make decisions on his or her own behalf.
