At the end of a treatment, turn the roaster off and add a tablespoon of liquid castile soap and 1-2 drops of peppermint essential oil to the water, if desired. Remove stones after 10 minutes of soaking in the soap solution, and then spray each one with alcohol. Lay the stones out on a clean towel and pat them dry. Spray the cold stones individually with alcohol and pat them dry. Pour the water out of the roaster and spray the inside of the unit with alcohol. All the towels, mesh bags, and the sheet should be laundered in hot water and detergent after each use. Wash out the cooling receptacle and bowls with soapy water and rinse. Spray or wipe all the other equipment with alcohol or other disinfectant, i.e., the workspace surface, oil bottle, wooden spoon, thermometer, and insulated gloves.
