Explain how carbon dioxide is transported in the blood. What will be an ideal response?

Concepts to Consider: Approximately 10% of CO2 dissolved in plasma; 30% combines with
hemoglobin, forming carbaminohemoglobin; 60% transported in plasma as bicarbonate ions. CO2
combines with water to form carbonic acid by the enzyme carbonic anhydrase. Carbonic acid
dissociates and forms hydrogen ions and bicarbonate ions.
