Describe and give an example of numbered screw threads.

What will be an ideal response?

Numbered series threads are major thread diameters less than 1/4 inch. These threads are specified by the screw number 0 through 12, which is the gage diameter from which the thread is manufactured. Numbered series threads are designated by their number followed by the decimal value of the major diameter in parenthesis. For example, 10 (.190) -32 UNF-2A.
