Why does simultaneous binding not occur?

What will be an ideal response?

This does not occur because IgE has two distinct binding sites for Fc?RI and Fc?RII, and when one or the other of these binding sites is occupied, the conformation of IgE is altered so that it is unable to bind to the other receptor.
