Explain the structural functionalist perspective and how it relates to society.

What will be an ideal response?

Varies. Structural functionalism views modern societies as consisting of interdependent parts working together for the good of the whole. Individuals work for the larger society's interests, rather than their own, due to social solidarity, or the moral order of society. Families, religion, education, and other institutions teach individuals to help society function smoothly.
