Explain what corner points are and how they are useful.

What will be an ideal response?

It can be difficult to draw the curve you want because each curve is affected by its preceding anchor point. For example, if you drag the first anchor point up, then no matter which direction you drag the second anchor point, the curve will start by curving up and then continuing in the direction in which the second anchor point was dragged. To avoid that, you can convert an anchor point into a corner point by clicking it before starting the next anchor point. Corner points allow you to create sharp angles within your outline.
