It is not possible to sustain population growth or growth in the rates of consumption of resources

What will be an ideal response?

As a statement this is ultimately true. If renewable resources are available, they
may grow sufficiently to allow both population growth and growth in consumption for
some time. Ultimately, limits exist that will stop growth. The desire to sustain growth is, by
itself, not sufficient to assure that it occurs.
