A listening style is a set of attitudes, beliefs, and predispositions about the how, where, when, who, and what of the information receiving and encoding process. Each listening skill emphasizes a particular set of skills that are useful in different situations. Depending on the listening style we use, we are likely to pay attention to different information contained in the message.
