What is the hunting response?
What will be an ideal response?
The hunting response is an alternating vasodilatation and vasoconstriction observed with thermal applications that are too cold. Initial reaction to the cold stimulus is vasoconstriction. If the tissue temperature drops below a critical level then vasodilatation will occur and warm blood is shunted to the area. Once the tissue temperature rises above the critical level, vasoconstriction will occur again until the tissue temperature drops down again below the critical level.
