Explain the 5C approach to effective decision making.
What will be an ideal response?
The 5Cs stand for Define the Challenge; Identify the Choices; Predict the Consequences; Choose an option; and Check your outcome. The 5C approach encourages students to go about the decision making process in an orderly and logical way-first, by identifying the decision to be made, second, by understanding the choices; third, by exploring the consequences of those decisions; fourth, by choosing an option that seems appropriate in light of the evidence; and finally, by checking and assessing the outcome and making additional adjustments, if necessary.
