Describe the components of an exercise prescription to improve cardiorespiratory fitness

What will be an ideal response?

The four components of an exercise prescription are based on the components of the FITT principle: Frequency: 3 to 5 sessions per week. Intensity of the exercise should be at least 50% of VO2 max, with the optimal range between 50% and 85% of VO2 max. Time (duration) of the exercise should be 20 to 60 minutes. Type of exercise should be any type of aerobic activity that the exerciser enjoys (jogging, running, swimming, cycling, dancing, etc.).
