What is the distinction between assimilation and cultural pluralism?

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Assimilation is when racial minorities adopt the norms, values, and practices of the dominant group. These groups may give up their language, culture, and holidays to fit into the dominant culture, while some still celebrate their culture while also participating in the dominant culture. Cultural pluralism is much different than assimilation because there is a coexistence of racial and ethnic groups and acceptance of those differences.
