The first bucket is filled with warm soapy water; the second bucket is filled with clean, clear water. The wash mitt is first soaked in the soap and water; then a panel of
the vehicle is washed. The wash mitt is then cleaned off in the clear water to get rid of the dirt that it picked up while washing the panel. Then the mitt is soaked in the clean soapy water again, and the process is repeated on the next area of the vehicle. This method reduces the chance that debris picked up by the washing mitt will cause damage to the surface while the vehicle is being cleaned.
