According to the dual control model of sexual response, the inhibition response can be highly functional. Explain one of these functions.

What will be an ideal response?

One way the inhibition response is functional is that sexual activity in certain situations would be dangerous. For example, when a predator is about to attack. Second, sometimes the environment is not conductive to reproduction and it is adaptive to wait for a better day or a better season. For example, if there is a season of famine or food shortage.
