Describe the idea of supply-side economics.

What will be an ideal response?

The fundamental idea of supply-side economics was to increase the supply of both labor and capital so that economic growth would take place. The approach argued that government intervention, especially through high taxes, was the major barrier to full participation of labor and capital in the marketplace and that measures to reduce that role would in the (not very) long run produce rapid economic growth.
