What will be an ideal response?
* (Source: Prior Conditions) The first stage is to begin to identify the source(s) of the conflict.
* (Beginning: Frustration Awareness) The second stage occurs when at least one person becomes
aware that felt differences are becoming problematic. This usually involves the awareness of
frustration.
* (Middle: Active Conflict) In the third stage the frustration is expressed, either verbally or
nonverbally, and brought to the attention of the other.
* (End: Resolution) The fourth stage is where the partners begin trying to resolve the conflict.
* (Aftermath: Follow-Up) The fifth stage involves following up after the conflict is resolved to
deal with any lingering bad feelings and to confirm that the resolution is holding.
