What is social identification and how does it relate to stress management, goal accomplishment, and increased life satisfaction?

What will be an ideal response?

Social identification, which is the psychological vehicle through which "I" is translated into "us," can allow people to feel they have control in stressful situations that might otherwise be absent. Indeed, being part of a group allows us to achieve goals that we could not possibly accomplish alone. Perceiving we have control over and are able to influence events that happen to us is strongly predictive of well-being and reduces biological stress reactions. Identifying with one's community might provide people with a sense of control over their way of life and through this achieve greater life satisfaction.
