If someone who is severely allergic to bee stings gets stung, the person may experience anaphylactic shock, which can cause a fatal drop in blood pressure. The drop in blood pressure is due to an inappropriate release of histamine in response to the

sting. Histamine causes massive vasodilation, so how does this affect blood pressure?

What will be an ideal response?

Histamine causes systemic vasodilation, resulting in an increased blood flow through capillaries. Such an increase in blood flow also causes an increase in the amount of fluid that leaks out of the capillaries. So much fluid could be lost from the bloodstream that blood volume would drop, causing a potentially fatal drop in blood pressure.
