Evaluate a relationship from your own life, using social penetration theory. Be sure to discuss the breadth and depth of your self-disclosure in the relationship

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary, but should include the following major ideas:
• Breadth refers to the variety of topics that the relational partners discuss. As the number of different topics increases, the breadth of your self-disclosure increases. This is the quantity of the information exchanged.
• Depth refers to the level of intimacy or intensity of the information shared when self-disclosing on a topic. The more personal or unique the material that is shared, the greater the depth of the self-disclosure. This is the quality of the information exchanged.
• As relationships develop, both depth and breadth increase (greater intimacy).
