In most situations where the question mark is displayed, RSLinx has identified a device on the network at the address displayed; however, RSLinx does not know (recognize) the device. Most likely the problem here is that the firmware of the Ethernet communications module is newer than the current revision of RSLinx software can recognize. Updating RSLinx to the latest software version typically takes care of the problem. Also check for proper configuration.
