If crossing over occurred in mitosis, would it have an impact on the resulting cells? What will be an ideal response?
Theoretically no. All the same genes would be present in the daughter cells, and the chromosomes
they exist on would not matter. The only negative impact would be is a gene was torn in two during
crossing over, thus rendering it non-functional.
