How does a clutch allow power transfer from the engine to the manual transmission?
What will be an ideal response?
A clutch assembly is mounted to the engine flywheel, which spins the entire assembly. When the clutch pedal is released, spring pressure in the pressure plate clamps the clutch disc to the flywheel. The clutch disc is splined to the transmission input shaft, which turns when the clutch is engaged.
