List and define four types of ecological restoration. Why is restoration important?

What will be an ideal response?

Restoration: returning a degraded area to its original state. Rehabilitation: improving upon a degraded area to a certain degree, without entirely restoring it. Replacement: replacing a degraded area with another type of ecosystem. Artificial restoration: creation of an artificial ecosystem. Restoration is important because human damage to ecosystems is largely reversible and because ecosystems provide ecological and economic services that we depend upon.
