Mode 6 allows a scan tool to request the latest information on the OBD monitoring test results for non-continuous monitoring systems. Such monitors include the catalyst, evaporative system, and exhaust gas re-circulation (EGR) monitors, to name a few. Some of these tests are manufacturer specific.
