3 years: Child uses 3-4 words in sentences, yes-no questions, wh questions, negatives, embeds one sentence within another. Examples: Will I go? Where is the doggy? I not eat yucky peas. That's the book Mommy buyed me.
4 years: Child uses 5-6 words in sentences. Child coordinates two sentences. Example: I went to Allie's and I had cookies.
