What are the replies returned by Ping in a Cisco router?

What will be an ideal response?


Ping sends an echo request packet to the destination and waits for an echo reply. By default, the Ping utility with Cisco routers is configured to send five packets to the target. Ping can return the following replies:
• !: Successful receipt of the ICMP echo
• .: Request timed out
• U: Destination was unreachable
• C: Congestion experienced
• I: Ping interrupted
• ?: Packet type unknown
• &: Packet TTL exceeded
