Imagine you are a teacher in Reese’s new school. Describe three ideas you have for building a relationship with Reese’s family and how you would go about making the family feel welcome in your school.

What will be an ideal response?

I would definitely reach out to set up a time to meet with Reese’s family. I would be very open to going over to their house instead of making them come to the school to simplify it for them. While at the meeting I would definitely ask the parents what they hope to see from their child this year and goals they have for their child for the school year.
