How can you improve transition times?

What will be an ideal response?

You can provide children advance notice before a change in activities—for example, "Five minutes until clean-up.". You can assure that transitions are predictable and occur in a timely manner. Additionally, you can make sure that transitions are carried out in a calm and unrushed manner and that they allow for individual children's needs. For example, "Johan, I notice that you have been working really hard to finish that puzzle. Let's put your name on it and leave it out today so you can finish it after naptime. Okay?" Also, you can eliminate boring waiting times when children have nothing to do.
