Define the various ways a defendant can be identified as the perpetrator of a crime in a criminal courtroom

What will be an ideal response?

During criminal trials, defendants may be required to try on such items as jackets, hats, and glasses to show whether such items fit the defendant. Defendants may also be required to speak or to display tattoos, scars, or a gold tooth. Eyewitnesses or ear witnesses are asked by the prosecutor to describe the person who committed the crime or who was seen fleeing from the crime scene. The witness is then asked whether that person is in the courtroom. When the witness answers yes, the witness is asked to point out the person.
