Research the error called multipath and provide a brief explanation.
What will be an ideal response?
Multipath is a phenomenon unique to wireless communications
because the signal is not constrained or contained, such as electricity
through a copper wire or light pulse through fiber optic cable. A wireless signal emanates from its source in all directions, much like light from a light bulb, which gives us multiple copies of the same signal. As these signals travel through space, some will arrive directly at the receiver, while other will be bouncing off obstructions. The result is that we have the same signal reaching the receiver at different times. This is problematic for a number of reasons including the delay time in waiting for all of the reflected signals and the difficulty in differentiating one signal from another. Modern transmitter and receivers utilize techniques to minimize multipath’s eff ects.
