Describe some of the advantages and disadvantages of health reimbursement arrangements.

What will be an ideal response?

Some advantages are the patient has control over how to spend health care dollars when the employer-contributed funds are used. Any unused amount can be rolled over to the next year toward medical services. Preventative care is covered 100% without the expenses being deducted from the employer contributed funds. Some disadvantages are deductible portions can be high out of-pocket for the patient, depending on the arrangement details.
