Explain the concept of sexual orientation and the various related identifying terms

?Human beings are diverse in all ways, including sexual preferences and practices. Physiological, psychological, and social factors determine whether we are attracted to members of the same sex or the other sex. This attraction is our sexual orientation. Heterosexual is the term used for individuals whose primary orientation is toward members of the other sex. Homosexual refers to men and women who prefer partners of their own sex. The transgender community includes individuals whose behaviors do not conform to commonly understood gender norms.
