Describe what is meant by “indoor comfort zone,” and explain the connection between the interior
comfort zones of plants and those of humans.
What will be an ideal response?
The indoor comfort zone refers to an optimal indoor temperature. Overall, people like indoor
temperatures to be maintained between 60o-80oF. This is quite similar to the temperature range found
in tropical forests. Indoor plants are tolerable to all of these temperature conditions just as long as air
vents are not directed on them. In other words, indoor plants like the same temperatures as people.
