How do modern "traditionalists" differ from experimentalist composers? What do they have in common?

What will be an ideal response?

Although traditionalists enjoy writing music rooted in the past, they do use modern compositional techniques. Both schools use dissonance, and often feature non-singable melodies. In addition, traditionalists often focus on rhythm and timbre, as do the experimentalists. One difference in the two schools is that some traditionalists revert to traditional forms, using symphonic and concerto forms to showcase their modern sound.
