Terrazzo flooring is divided in two types: (i) thick-set (i.e., cementitious) terrazzo and (ii) thin-set (i.e., epoxy) terrazzo. Describe the anatomy of thin-set terrazzo.
What will be an ideal response?
Thin-set terrazzo flooring consists of 3/8-in.-thick terrazzo finish (a mix of epoxy resin, marble chips, marble dust, and water). This mix is laid directly over a concrete subfloor. Because epoxy resin does not shrink like Portland cement, divider strips are not required in thin-set terrazzo, except at termination or change between mixes of different colors.

In order to meet an emergency, three single-phase transformers with 12,470/7200 V rms are connected in ?-Y to form a three-phase transformer which is fed by a 12,470-V transmission line. If the transformer supplies 60 MVA to a load, find:
(a) the turns ratio for each transformer, (b) the currents in the primary and secondary windings of the transformer, (c) the incoming and outgoing transmission line currents.
