A scan tool is used to make numerous tests simply by connecting it to the on-board connector and it will automatically locate and identify the networks from which the technician will select to perform the tests required. Based on the information covered in the chapter and material covered in the classes, the student should be able to cite a variety of tests on any of a number of systems that can be done with the scanner.
