Specify the distinction between fluency and accuracy. Indicate how and when teachers work on these skills

What will be an ideal response?

Fluency refers to the ease with which a student reads. Accuracy refers to the student's ability to read without making errors. There is a concurrent emphasis on both accurate and fluent reading in both stages. Teaching students to read text accurately is very important. An early emphasis on accuracy will enable students to develop the concentration to read accurately without great effort. The need for accurate reading becomes increasingly observable when students encounter more complex scientific materials where misreading one word can change the meaning of a sentence.
