When visiting a museum, you would expect to find knowledgeable museum guides who would be able to give you historical information on the museum's collections and special exhibitions. If you did not find any trained museum guides to assist you, then the museum has what type of gap? Explain why you chose your answer.
What will be an ideal response?
The best two answers are a knowledge gap or a standards gap; however, students might also make a case for a delivery gap.
* Knowledge gap: Perhaps the museum director is not aware that visitors want to find guides. The museum might have invested in extensive printed maps and signs, thinking that this would be sufficient.
* Standards gap: The museum might know that visitors want guides, but either it lacks the budget to provide them, or it has not trained its employees to perform this function.
* Delivery gap: Perhaps on most days, knowledgeable guides are available, but on this particular day several guides called in sick.
