Summarize three approaches to change

What will be an ideal response?

The most typical approach to organizational change has been the individual change approach. The individual approach for initiating change within an organization utilizes education, training, socialization, and attitude change as intervention techniques. The second most frequent approach to implementing change is the organizational structure and systems change approach. The intervention techniques of this approach involve modifying actual organizational practices, procedures, and policies that affect what people do at work. The intended outcome is the creation of conditions that elicit and reward behavior that facilitates organizational goal achievement. The intended immediate outcome of organizational climate and interpersonal style change is the creation of a systemwide climate characterized by (1) high interpersonal trust, (2) openness, and (3) reduction of the dysfunctional consequences of excessive social conflict and competitiveness.
