Religion is behavior-oriented and prescribes specific outward practices; spirituality is emotionally oriented with individually chosen outward and inward practices. Religion is authoritarian; spirituality is not authoritarian. Religion is doctrine-oriented; spirituality is not doctrine-oriented.
