Define dynamic homeostasis and provide an illustration of the process at work

What will be an ideal response?

Feedback is necessary to promote a balance of inputs and outputs between the
subsystems and between the system and the environment. The balance, in turn, is
important to help stave off entropy (or, to promote negative entropy). Dynamic
homeostasis is the term used to describe this balance. Katz and Kahn described dynamic
homeostasis in the following manner:
The importation of energy to arrest entropy operates to maintain some constancy in
energy exchange, so that open systems that survive are characterized by a steady state....
The ratio of energy exchanges and the relations between parts, remains the same.Dynamic homeostasis, then, represents a balance of energy exchange. An imbalance
would lead to an excess or debit of energy or material, causing the system undue strain,
thereby enhancing the potential for entropy. One example of this comes from an
interview with the manager of a fast food restaurant.
