What are integrity controls? Describe the different types

What will be an ideal response?

Integrity controls protect data from unauthorized use and update. One form of an integrity control is a domain, which is like a user-define data type. Once the domain has been created, any field can be assigned that domain as its datatype. The domain definition need only be changed in one place if the domain does change. Assertions are constraints that enforce certain database conditions. For example, an assertion might be used to make sure that someone is not married to themselves. Finally, triggers can be used as an integrity control. For example, we might want to log changes to a table or prevent certain changes.
